I had a manager once who worked for me who was assigned to track how sales was doing.

The thing was he didn’t know how to build a dashboard.

Who’s fault is that?

Mine.

I put him in a place to fail.

I didn’t help him build the dashboard because…

I didn’t know what to build either.

And instead of learning what to build, I gave it to someone else and HOPED.

HOPE IS NOT A STRATEGY.

HOPE is fear wrapped in “I’m not gonna do anything about it.“
